Psychological support tailored to each young person
Adolescence brings major physical, psychological and emotional change. Questions about education, identity and shifting relationships within the family or with friends often arise at the same time. The years that follow — sometimes called emerging adulthood — are themselves a period of psychological change and consolidation. These transitions can be hard to manage, and support during this time can make a real difference.
The mental health team at Centre Ados Riviera offers psychological support to patients who feel the need for it. We build a personalised treatment plan together with each young person, shaped around their particular needs and difficulties — relationship problems, dropping out of school, irritability, sadness, anxiety, distress or difficulties with body image.
Depending on the situation, sessions may be held individually or with the family.
The therapeutic setting adapts to the young person’s needs and to what is clinically indicated. Sessions may therefore take place outdoors, or include mind-body practices such as yoga, meditation or relaxation.
