General consultation
Overall monitoring of physical health, growth, fatigue, chronic conditions and prevention.
Open since March 2021 · Montreux
The first private multidisciplinary medical centre in French-speaking Switzerland dedicated to the complete care of 12- to 25-year-olds.
Our mission
Adolescence is a unique and complex time of life. Our multidisciplinary team supports each young person as a whole — body and mind — with the confidentiality and respect they deserve.
The young person is always seen alone first. Nothing is shared without their consent.
Doctors, psychologists, a gynaecologist and a dietitian work together around each young person.
Consultations in French, English and Spanish, so every young person on the Riviera feels welcome.
A short walk from Montreux railway station, easy to reach by public transport or by car.
One way in: moving from one area of care to the other requires no new referral from the patient.
Centre Ados Riviera is a multidisciplinary medical centre for adolescents and young adults aged 12 to 25, located in the centre of Montreux.
It brings together physical health care (general practitioners, a paediatrician, a gynaecologist and a dietitian) and mental health care (psychologist-psychotherapists and a neuropsychologist).
Our consultations
Each consultation has its own referral form, completed online by the referring professional.
Overall monitoring of physical health, growth, fatigue, chronic conditions and prevention.
Individual or family psychological support: anxiety, depression, behavioural difficulties.
First gynaecological consultation, contraception, STIs and reproductive health in a supportive setting.
Personalised nutritional follow-up, eating difficulties, nutrition and sports performance.
Assessment and support for cognitive difficulties, ADHD, dyslexia and problems at school.
Remote specialist opinion on musculoskeletal conditions in adolescents.
Ways we can work together
Centre Ados Riviera offers three types of care arrangement.
Centre involvement
Three to four assessment sessions at the Centre, then referral back to the primary care physician with proposed treatment options.
Centre involvement
The primary care physician continues general follow-up while the Centre handles one specific issue.
Centre involvement
For patients who have no primary care physician or first-line therapist, or no longer have one.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is essential if a young person is to feel safe and speak freely with their therapist. That is why we always set aside time alone with them. We do not pass on any information about them without their permission, except where there is a risk of harm.
That said, communication with those around them — family, other therapists, social workers — matters greatly, and we always encourage young people to share their concerns with people close to them. We therefore usually meet a trusted adult briefly during the first consultation and, with the young person’s agreement, arrange a family meeting.
